See the price a stranger gets.
Some stores show you a higher price because of who they think you are. Tagtwin checks the same product as a stranger and tells you when you're paying more.

Prices that change depending on who's looking
Online stores can know a lot about you: whether you're logged in, what you've browsed, what device you're on, how you got to the page. Some use it to set the price you see. It's called personalized or surveillance pricing, and regulators and consumer groups have started to take it seriously.
The catch is that you only ever see your own price. A price-history tracker can tell you a price went up last week. It can't tell you that the person next to you is being shown less right now. Tagtwin can.
How Tagtwin checks
-
You open a product page
Tagtwin reads the price the store shows you. It works on product pages across shopping sites, including Amazon, Walmart, Target and Best Buy.
-
Strangers open it too
In the background, it loads the same page as three clean strangers: logged out with no history, on a phone, and arriving from a comparison site. They never touch your account, cookies or cart.
-
You hear about real differences
If you're shown more than 5% and more than $5 above a stranger, Tagtwin warns you on the page, says what likely caused it and how to avoid it. Otherwise it stays quiet.
What a warning looks like
It appears at the top of the store's page, with the difference, the price a stranger got, and one thing you can do about it. The toolbar badge shows the percentage. When your price matches, the badge shows a check mark.
From the popup you can share the catch as an image: the store and the two prices, never the product or anything about you.
An example. Real warnings use the prices Tagtwin actually saw.
Built so the shopper is the only one being watched out for
- Nothing happens until you choose. On install you pick full sharing or local only. Until then Tagtwin reads nothing and sends nothing.
- Your account stays yours. The strangers never use your login, cookies or cart, and they never click, add to cart or buy.
- Sensitive stores send nothing. On pharmacies, health stores and similar sites, nothing leaves your computer.
- One button deletes everything. Settings has a permanent wipe, on your computer and on our server.
- No ads, no selling data. Read the privacy policy.
Questions
Is Tagtwin free?
Yes. No ads, no paid features, no account.
How is this different from a price tracker or coupon extension?
Trackers like CamelCamelCamel or Keepa show how one price changed over time, and coupon tools look for codes. Tagtwin compares what you're shown with what a stranger is shown at the same moment, which is the only way to see personalized pricing.
Which stores does it work on?
Product pages on most shopping sites, with dedicated readers for Amazon, Walmart, Target and Best Buy. Some stores block the stranger checks; Tagtwin tells you when that happens instead of guessing.
Will it slow down my browsing?
The checks run in the background after the page loads, and each product is checked at most once every 6 hours.
Why only differences above 5% and $5?
Prices wobble for ordinary reasons. Tagtwin only warns when the gap is big enough to matter, and when in doubt it stays quiet.
Does it work in other browsers?
Tagtwin is on the Chrome Web Store today, and it works in browsers that install Chrome extensions.
